This is a tour for the true intermediate cyclist who takes their riding and eating seriously. The Pre-Alpine area of the Veneto region is the ideal region for such a cyclist. Plenty of undulating terrain, spectacular views, captivating cities known for their art and gastronomic delights.
In this tour we discover the beautiful city of Bassano with it’s medieval wooden bridge, Marostica, Valdobbiadene with its delicious Prosecco wine as well as many other locations. We’ll visit the Wilier head office as well as the Gaerne shoes factory all based in this idyllic region.
And If you haven’t been to Venice before, why not taking a day trip in the city of the Gondolas?

WHO WOULD ENJOY THIS EXPERIENCE?
The experience is built for all riders able to ride for 3-5 hours. This is not a race or high intensity riding, but rather a true cycling adventure across one of the most picturesque region in the world.
We will ride as a group on the rolling terrain and as individuals or small groups on the short climbs, so that everyone will enjoy the ride. On top of each major climb we will regroup to celebrate and refill our bottles, and then enjoy the descent together. As a team, we’ll support each other during the ride and make sure everyone finishes safe and happy!

MORE ABOUT THE TERRAIN
We have selected some of the best routes offering a mix of all terrains, but the terrain will be mainly hilly with some 3-5 km climbs, but also a lot of flat-undulating sections.
The start from Soave is perfect as it mostly flat, then route become hilly with some climbing towards the end of the tour approaching Follina.
The climbs are never hard as the gradient is always around 6-8% and when steeper, generally for short distances.

The roads are well-paved and safe, with drivers showing incredible respect for cyclists!

TOUR ITINERARY
Day One, Soave Warm up ride
Main Route: 40km; 27mi Total Ascent: 200m; 600ft
Activity: Hotel Check in, bike set up and ride
This is a warm-up ride to ease the legs and body into a week+ of riding. Some of you may have only recently stepped off a plane, so this ride offers a great way to “tease” out that tiredness. It will include some small climbs and offer beautiful views across the region.

Day Two, Soave loop to Verona
Main Route: 75km; 52mi Total Ascent: 1100m; 3600ft
This is a beautiful ride around to the romantic city of Verona. After an initial flat start, the remaining day's ride is undulating with only one slightly difficult climb on the way back to Soave. You'll be enchanted by the view.

Day Three, Soave to Bassano del Grappa
Main Route: 80km; 55mi Total Ascent: 1500m; 5000ft
After an initial flat 10kms, we climb towards the medieval town of . parcours along the valley to Bassano Del Grappa, the town of the Alpini army!
16. The rest of the ride is undulated followed by a final 20km flat

Day Four, Bassano Loop to Monte Grappa
Main Route: 65km; 40mi
Total Ascent: 1600m; 5300ft
The Monte Grappa is one of the symbol of the Veneto region for many reasons, but mainly for the huge battles fought during World War One, when thousands of Italian and Austrian toops died. From a cycling perpsective, it's the major mountain before you reach the Alps and the Dolomites. Our climb is long and steady with the "occasional" steep section. Good luck!

Day Five, Bassano loop to Wilier HQ
Main Route: 60km; 37mi Total Ascent: 1250m; 3900ft
Our route takes us 60km today, crossing two amazing medieval towns which have splendid walls constructed in 300AD and are still considered some of the best preserved in Europe. After this morning's adventure, we head to the Wilier factory to check out first-hand the Wilier range and talk to the staff to glean all technical aspects

Day Six, Bassano to Follina
Main Route: 55km - 34mi
Total Ascent: 600m - 1950f
Today we leave the wonderful town of Bassano and head into the famous Prosecco region, where we find and taste one of Italy' most famous wines. This is an undulating route with one climb at the very end. We'll visit the enchanting town of Valdobbiadene and finish in Follina to enjoy "some" Prosecco tasting!

Day Seven, Follina loop to Passo San Boldo
Main Route: 55km; 37mi Total Ascent: 800m; 2600ft

A great ride up to Passo San Boldo, a little mountain on the way to Belluno. The climb follows on a spectacular road built with many swtihbacks and short tunnels, offering a fantastic view of the prosecco region.
